About Us

Sunstroke Press is an independent publishing house igniting the spark of printed matter.

Our titles archive and dissect contemporary art and culture with the goal of illuminating the voices that define them and landing on the bookshelves of our communities. We envision a future where art is abundant, created and engaged with by the communities they represent. Through printed matter, we bring this future to life.

History

Sunstroke originated as Sunstroke Magazine, a teen-led DIY magazine in Salt Lake City, Utah. It transformed into a digital and print magazine in the years following, publishing daily online and releasing issues at least yearly. Both channels published work by Gen Z writers and artists of all mediums, carving out a space for the shared admiration and criticism of art, culture and media.
